tell him

This LO was completed as one of the challenges at SD4U during the Roses are Red crop by choosing a title from a list of songs. Tell Him fit perfectly for the LO I did about my daughter and her boyfriend and how long it took my daughter to finally "tell him" that she liked him! From the moment she finally did they were a cute little couple!!!

Altered Frames

Hi all! It's Monday again and that brings about another challenge from The Cuttlebug Spot!!! This week we are altering picture frames. I have done this in the past but always forgot how simple and inexpensive they are to make and they end up making awesome gifts for just about anyone and any occasion! I made this one for my hubby to put on his desk at work. I got the frame from M's for $1 and the papers were in my stash from last year when BG's Sugared came out. I embossed all the flowers and made my own on the top right using the CB, embossing folders and Spellbinders Nestabilities - I tried using one of the new embossing plates from Spellbinders but I need to read up on it as it was not working for me!!!

I also included this frame as one of the challenges from the "Roses are Red" crop over at SD4U!!!

Roses Are Red..............

...............crop is still going on at SD4U where are you at??? There are 12 fab challenges going on and although I haven't had the mojo to get them all done, I have done a couple so far (one I can't show til tomorrow)!!!

The pic on this LO was from Christmas when I got my new camera and kept playing with all the settings trying to figure out how to use the flash and what knot. The title came to me so easily as soon as I saw his face in the pic, I'll leave it for you to see now!!!

This LO was lifted from another member (which was our challenge) and I just loved her LO (not showing here because I don't know if she would mind or not).

You've Got Mail...........

.............and it's full of love!!! Our challenge this week over at The Cuttlebug Spot was to create an altered mailbox. I used one of the little metal mailboxes from the Target $1 bin but you can use a template and make it from chipboard or cardstock! So, let's see how you'll get your "love mail" this year!!!

Ain't No Other Man

...............of course not! Rob is my guy! We are like two demented peas in a pod and I love every minute of it! We have been through a lot together and are crazier about each other now than we have ever been. So, I dedicated this LO to my darling hubby letting him know there never has been nor will there ever be another man for me!! I love you my darling!!!

I used a sketch created by Kristine Davidson and posted over at Scrapbooking Deals 4 U as the sketch challenge this month. All supplies except the pin, brown cardstock and jumbo flower came from the kit. I added some ink to the chipboard heart and then put some stickles on it for a little glitz. If you are looking for a new kit club I highly recommend SD4U - it has been amazing being able to scrap without having to spend time looking for what I need, especially with the crazy busy schedule I've been having lately with work and school. Anywho, enough jabbering from me!!!

Not sure how much scrappy stuff I'll have the next few days as my parents are in town visiting. Caitlin will be 18 on Tuesday so they flew in on Thursday to celebrate with us! They will be leaving on Tuesday so we are having her party tonite and can't wait for her to see her gift - I'll update with pics tomorrow most likely!

My Gift

A quick LO I did using my kit from SD4U - it's been great being able to scrap again without having to spend most my time looking for stuff to use considering I've been so short on time lately!

The title of this one speaks for itself, I truly feel that my kids are my gift in life. They do stupid stuff from time to time but hey, who doesn't. It never changes the way I feel about them. I give my kids unconditional love no matter what they have done - sometimes I don't like them a whole lot but I never stop loving them! LOL

Photobucket

I'll have another LO to post tomorrow that I am working on tonite along with pics from Cait's 18th birthday party that we are having tomorrow. Her birthday isn't til Tuesday but my parents flew in from Texas for the weekend so we are gonna celebrate just a bit early! I sure hope she likes her gifts!

Just to cover all bases...................

I am not the best scrapper out there. I don't claim to be totally original, I lift from many places and in many forms from color combinations, to product usage, to technique and so forth. I try to be fair to all scrappers out there and mention them when I lift from them - now keep in mind, there are so many people out there scrapping, card making and altering items that naturally more than one person will have similar ideas. When I mention lifting, or casing as some call it, I mean when you intentionally take a design you see and duplicate it exactly or only change up the coloring........KWIM???

With that said..........
