Monday is the day!!! Two DT reveals happen: Am I A Scrap Addict - Sketches and The Cuttlebug Spot!!!! I can't wait to share the completed cards with you!!! I'm dying to give a sneak peak so here is as much as I can show!!!
This first one is for Am I A Scrap Addict - Sketches:
This second one is for my new DT spot at The Cuttlebug Spot:
Well, Saturday is the day we head to our new home in New Mexico. The kids get out of school on Friday, Rob flies in Friday night to drive the U-haul on Saturday and then we are outta here!!! I am so happy that it is finally here. I have missed my husband so much these last 3 weeks. It has felt like an eternity since I've been able to hug him and give him a kiss. I do not like this being apart thing at all!!! I'm so thankful that this job worked out and he didn't have to stay on the road driving a truck - I think I would have gone nutts if that was the case!!!
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to stop in on Monday to see the reveal of both cards!!!
Happy Scrappin'!!!

WAHOO!!!
I scrapped!!! Well, I made a card!!! I haven't touched my scrappy stuff in so long that it just felt GOOD to make this card!!! I was inspired by two things (other than my longing to play with my papers and such): a.) The challenge this week at the Cuttlebug Spot where my good friend Aymee is part of the DT and b.) My new stamps I got today after ordering them at the end of March and thinking the order was lost!!! I just love the MFT Who's that Girl stamps and when I saw this set a while back I knew I just HAD to have it so, Tina at Imprintz (which is going out of business in June) ordered them for me along with a few other sets and I got to pick them ALL up today (more than I realized I had ordered........ooopppsss)!!!
OK, the challenge this week at the Cuttlebug Spot was to emboss something that you don't typically emboss when making cards - i.e. vellum, foil, acrylics, etc. I chose to do foil since it was the most readily available thing with us in the middle of packing for a move and I used the Houndstooth CB embossing folder to give it the texture befitting a card for a man. I then stamped my image 3 times: 1.) the background/wallpaper 2.) the carpet 3.) the image to color and then layered them all to give it this cute look! I hope you like!!
That is all the crafting I've done but I have one more card to get made before the final packing of everything for the move next week but I won't be posting it til the 1st!!!
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin'!!!

Blog Candy
OK, some seriously fabulous blog candy going on at Deb's blog for her birthday! You must check it out and try to win as well!!! Good luck!!!
After my mental breakdown this weekend with the move - and a cold, yep I came down with a freaking cold on Friday - I have finally pulled myself together and have this under control. I have just a little packing left to do and then next Wednesday picking up a UHaul truck to get loaded. Rob is gonna fly in on the 29th after he gets off work and drive the truck home (as in Albuquerque) on the 30th. I was really nervous about driving a huge UHaul and pulling a trailer that far and up into the mountains but we worked it out where he can get back and do the driving - thank goodness!!!
Nothing crafty to share. I think my niece liked the bag - she didn't really say. My Mom got me some new fabric to make another and the fabric is just darlin' - cheap WalMart stuff but hey, it is still cute so who cares about where it is from and the cost right? I am really shocked though because I've had a couple people ask me to make them a bag and offered to pay for it........LOL. I may have to break out the regular sewing machine for better seams - Mom went back to using her old machine and told me I could have mine back, goofy woman!!!
OK, off to relax a little til the kids come home - no stressing on getting this stuff done so I only do a little each day to save my back and my mental state.........LOL
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin'!!!
PS I have a DT release on the 1st so make sure you pop back over - I pick up some MFT and CP stamps tomorrow from a friend who's stamp store is going out of business so I'll have new images to play with, not that I don't have ENOUGH already......LOL. Oh yeah, I have some cah-yute penguin stamps too that I got thinking of Cait that haven't been inked..........hhmmm gotta dig out some stamps!!!

Curve Balls
You know, those little things that life throws at you when you think you are on the right track? Yep, another curve ball for our household and hopefully the last!!!
Let's recap:
I spent a fabulous week in Tennessee with scrappy friends mid April. During that time my darling hubby got his CDL and started driving a truck - times are hard everywhere and well, trucking seems to be holding stable right now in our area so we figured this would be our best bet to getting a steady income into our household again while I finish up school. Then, 3 weeks ago - the week I got home and the week he went out on the road - we got a phone call. A job he applied for in early December last year, interviewed with in February and told the positions were filled in March called. They were offering him a job which was a step up from what he had applied because he, unknowingly to us, had been given credit for his years of military service so he had been applying for jobs below the GS scale he qualified!!! UGH!!! LOL
So, needless to say it was an opportunity he could not pass us because a.) it is with the government which has excellent benefits and the pay was right and b.) he would not have to be away from home all the time like with driving a truck because if you ain't driving, you ain't making money.
Fast forward back to current:
We got him moved out there with basics, got an apartment and he started work on the 11th. I was able to spend about 5 days out there with him helping him get settled then I came back to Texas to finish packing up the house and let the kids finish out school here.
Now, you are probably asking OK OK OK where the heck is it that you are moving to????? Beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico!!!!!!
This was outside of Albuquerque - there is still some snow on top of the mountains, how cool is that????
And these two were taken as we walked out of our apartment - I zoomed in on the 2nd one to get a better shot:
I can't wait to get moved out there and get pictures of the sunrise over the mountains, the sunset over the other mountains, the beautiful area altogether!!!!
Then, this week my niece gave birth to a baby girl - she is precious but I don't have any pics yet. I decided the morning she went into labor I wanted to make a bag for her to use in lieu of a bulky diaper bag when she makes quick trips somewhere - you know, be able to loop around her neck and onto her side big enough to through a couple diapers, one of the small containers of diaper wipes in it, an extra outfit, a bottle or two, binky, small blankie/cover-up. Seriously, used for just running to grab a bite to eat at the drive through or down to do laundry/check mail at her apartments. It has been years since I have sewn anything more than those aprons I showed in the last post and my scrappy work so this was gonna be fun!!! I was already headed to WalMart for milk and eggs when I found out she was in labor so I stopped by the fabric department to see what I could find. I saw a pattern with a bag similar to the one I had in my head but wasn't gonna pay $8 for it - yeah, I'm cheap!!! I decided I could make it without a pattern.............LOL...............found the fabric - pink for a baby girl and frogs because my niece loves frogs. It took my some time, but I did it!!! No pattern at all - just lots of thinking and drawing and more thinking to make sure things went on in the right place!!! The fabric flower was fashioned after the tutorial my friend Cristal did for making them. I sure hope she likes it!!!
OK, off to do my DT card for June 1 and then finish up with some packing. I am hoping to take a load of stuff out Memorial Day weekend so when we go out the following weekend we don't have so much to try and take out. We still won't have all our furniture until later in the summer but a few basics will be enough to get us started til we can get back to Texas to pick it all up!!!
Thanks for stopping by and I promise to have some scrappy stuff started back up in June - I really miss all the challenge blogs and challenges on some of my favorite scrappy sites!!!

It's May 1st!!!
Where the heck has time gone this year??? It feels like yesterday we were just celebrating New Years and scrapping til our little hearts content and now things have slipped away!!!!
Today I have my DT card to share!!! Yay!!! It is for Am I A Scrap Addict - Sketches, you should totally go check out the sketches and even the RAK that Deanne has up for grabs for just using one of her sketches!!!!
Here is the sketch we worked with this go around:
And here is my card - I def took my own direction by the time I finished the card but it started much closer to the sketch!!! Regardless, I do like it!!! I used my new Rachelle Anne Miller stamp by Stampavie!!! I so need more of those!!!!
And yeah, I mentioned how I love that image right??? I made a 2nd card using it as well - I had a blast coloring that image in and I am really loving the new techniques I learned using my Copics!!!!
The 2nd card is for Rebecca from the Fiskateers. She really hooked us up good when we went to our retreat by sending so many goodies (I mentioned them in the previous post) and it was only fitting to send her a thank you card!!!
OK, I got more news but can't share it right now - should be able to come Monday though so check back if you are curious!!!
As always thank you so much for stopping by!!! Happy Scrappin!!!!

Just to cover all bases...................
I am not the best scrapper out there. I don't claim to be totally original, I lift from many places and in many forms from color combinations, to product usage, to technique and so forth. I try to be fair to all scrappers out there and mention them when I lift from them - now keep in mind, there are so many people out there scrapping, card making and altering items that naturally more than one person will have similar ideas. When I mention lifting, or casing as some call it, I mean when you intentionally take a design you see and duplicate it exactly or only change up the coloring........KWIM???
With that said..........
