Tag 11

Done like a cake!!! Loved trying a new technique with this one. If you don't have a melting pot and a jar of clear UTEE then you are totally missing out!!! I will tell you this much, 5 stores later I finally got my bottle of clear UTEE and will def pick up a bottle or two more to keep in reserve when I see them in stock at M's or HL after my long search today.

Anywho, combine UTEE and one of my favorite materials - shrink plastic - and it creates some super fab embellies!!! I remember shrink plastic from being a kid. I loved getting shrinky dinks and coloring them in then putting them in the oven as a kid. As I've grown I found more creative uses for them - my fav is using then when making jewelry - but today was an amazing discovery!!!! Did you know when you put shrinky dink material in heated UTEE ( ultra thick embossing enamel) it will shrink it AND give it a super thick coating making fun embellies for pages, cards and yes, even Tim's tags!!!!

Here's my tag and I hope you've been playing along learning new techniques and creating some amazing pieces of art. I think I have 4 tags to go and then I can officially say I've completed my first year of Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of Christmas!!!

As always, thanks for stopping by and happy scrappin!!!!

PS I wanted to share this super cute pic I got of my grand baby Tyler - he and grampa were playing CoD today!!!!

Just to cover all bases...................

I am not the best scrapper out there. I don't claim to be totally original, I lift from many places and in many forms from color combinations, to product usage, to technique and so forth. I try to be fair to all scrappers out there and mention them when I lift from them - now keep in mind, there are so many people out there scrapping, card making and altering items that naturally more than one person will have similar ideas. When I mention lifting, or casing as some call it, I mean when you intentionally take a design you see and duplicate it exactly or only change up the coloring........KWIM???

With that said..........
