Mark the Spot

OK, so I had a swap on Just Scrappin' to make bookmarks to exchange. I haven't made anything resembling a bookmark since I was in elementary school!!! So this was a challenge - nothing turned out how I envisioned and I was getting really flustered with them. Finally, something came to me a couple nights ago and I went with it. I got the basics for the bookmarks done then I was stuck again. I woke up this morning with a new idea and finished them and stuck them in the mail - 2 days late mind you BUT I did get them done!!!

I know they aren't the best but I kind of like them:

Most likely won't be posting any more this week. I leave out either Wednesday night or Thursday morning to head towards Dallas, Tx. I'm going to visit my Mom in Red Oak for my birthday which is Friday PLUS...............we are going to the Scrapbook Convention in Arlington on Friday!!!

I'm very excited. I know I have to keep some control when shopping but since it IS my birthday I get to do a little shopping at all the yummy booths!!! I did promise Rob I would be good though.....LOL....hope I can follow through with that promise!!!

So, happy scrappin'.......I'll be back this weekend and hopefully post some pics of all the fun we have while we are there!!!

Just to cover all bases...................

I am not the best scrapper out there. I don't claim to be totally original, I lift from many places and in many forms from color combinations, to product usage, to technique and so forth. I try to be fair to all scrappers out there and mention them when I lift from them - now keep in mind, there are so many people out there scrapping, card making and altering items that naturally more than one person will have similar ideas. When I mention lifting, or casing as some call it, I mean when you intentionally take a design you see and duplicate it exactly or only change up the coloring........KWIM???
