Lots of Stuff..............

................to share but can't post any!!! I so hate when I accomplish things but can not share!! Let's see, I have some yummy Magnolia images, Kenny K images, a Simply Betty image and a couple others all laying out ready to share with the world but because they are submitted for publication I can not. So, I just basically wanted to say hi and let you know lots going on and hopefully next week I'll know what is going to be pub'd and what isn't so I can post the ones that are not (maybe I'll get lucky and EVERYTHING will be, we'll see!!!).

How about some Christmas decorations??? Here are some pics of my very limited decorations. Living in a small apartment kind of hinders what you can do. I've always been huge on Christmas but last year and this year I've scaled down tremendously because we just don't have the room to decorate. Someday we may be back in our home in Texas and then I'll go all out again.

Here is our entertainment center/area - don't look close or you'll see the dust, I didn't even notice it til I took pics because I put out decorations in the semi dark the other night (sounds like a good excuse right?? LOL)



I love my little village and put it on our bar last year but it just seemed to be in the way. I thought this year it might work better on the entertainment center plus, I can see it throughout the holidays versus it being on the bar behind where we sit and spend most of our time when at home. Here's my village from left to right closer up. It really is so fun to sit and look at.

I hope you liked a short tour of my decorations. Hopefully I'll have more room to decorate in the next few years but for now, this will do as it makes me happy to look at!!!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and are gearing up for Christmas - most of my gifts this year are going to be handmade so watch out January, I'll be a posting fool (some of my family read my blog so if I post they will see....LOL)!!!

Maybe I'll have something this weekend that can be posted and shared with the world, if I get busy that is!!

Winner, winner..................

..............chicken dinner!!! OK, pork chops for dinner tonite but...........I'm still a winner. Remember the post to name your favorite Kittenz for Kenny K digis??? Well, not only did I have the honor of naming one, I named two!!! How stinkin' exciting is that???? My two girls are Pitstop Penny and Jessi Jane!!! I can not wait to get these girls in my hot little hands and color away!!!

OK, off to relax. The family left to go back home for Texas yesterday so Cait and I did a little shopping - mainly just a girls day out which we used to do quite regularly but since she has grown up we rarely have time for anymore. Gonna veg for the day and then back to work tomorrow - boo hiss!!! LOL

Domie's Kitchen

What a whirlwind this past week has been! We had family come in from Texas and it was such a great time but it went by way too fast! They are leaving in the morning and it feels like they just got here even though it has been a week. I totally understand their desire to get home though to their own environment and most importantly, their own bed! LOL I took a few pictures while here but we mostly sat around and visited and took several trips to the casinos! On Saturday, the 20th we went to see American English, a Beatles tribute band that was just plain awesome! After the show Deb and Chuck and Rob did a little gambling while Dylan and his friend Clinton and I went and had an ice cream cone and looked at all the neat stuff there at Hard Rock Casino. On Tuesday night we went out to Santa Anna casino and I saw my friend Jenn who works there and I contributed to the local economy by leaving some money at the casino. Of course Thursday was Thanksgiving and we had a very nice dinner - I felt so horrible that I barely made it through dinner before I had to crash out completely. On Friday we took them on top of the mountain - tradition for me to get a picture of everyone who comes to visit with the sign on top of the Sandia's!! Then we stopped at the Sandia casino on the way back home and I ended up putting $25 in the machines and I walked out with $100 - $75 profit woohoo!!! Anywho, that is what I've been up to plus a project I'll post at the end of this blurb that I made for Deb (my MIL) for her kitchen! Enough yapping on to the pics!!!

And finally, my project!!! I took my Magnolia image and scanned it, enlarged it and printed it to make this adorable picture for my MIL to hang in her kitchen. Copics used to color, an inexpensive frame from Ross and October Afternoon papers and about 10 minutes then VOILA!!! I really like it and so did Deb (which makes me happy)!!!!

Kenny K & DT Call!!!

Wow, oh wow, oh wow!!!! Kenny K has become my new favorite digi image provider and guess what??? They are having a DT call. I know there are so many talented designers out there so it wil be a tough call but I'm definitely putting my name in the hat and hoping for a chance to be able to design with all the fab images that Kenny puts out!!!

So, for the DT call you are supposed to post at least two of what you consider to be your best cards, make a post about the DT call and link here.

I'm not one who typically boasts about my work saying it is great and what knot so I am just going to post a few cards that I really love that I've made, Kenny K creations first of course...........LOL:

This weekend didn't hold anything exciting for me. Rob and I were off on Thursday for Veteran's day - I'm very thankful to my husband as he served proudly as a USMC to help protect our freedom. On Friday I ended up calling in sick because I didn't sleep a wink at all Thursday night. Most who know me know that I have moments where I just can't sleep or function worth a hoot from my fybromyalgia and degenerative disc disease. Anywho, I did a little house cleaning this weekend as we are having Rob's parents come visit us next Friday for a whole week! I am so excited! We don't get to see family very often so we are truly looking forward to them coming for a week - it will be great to be able to relax and visit with them without any rush of them getting here, getting settled and then turning around to leave. Deb (my MIL) and I are gonna do a little shopping - no Kmart's in Texas and she is missing them bad!!! Saturday, the 20th we are gonna go see a Beatle's tribute band with them - I love going to these shows! We actually talked them into coming early so we could all go see the show together!

As for crafty stuff, not much completed. This one card with my winning stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle is all that got done. Hopefully I get out of my slump soon - if I'm feeling like crap I don't get anything done so let's hope this passes soon!

Kenny K Krash Kittenz Name Contest ***UPDATED***

Everyone knows that I have become totally obsessed with Kenny K digital stamps as of late. I don't know why but his images just reach out to me and make me WANT to color them and use them for my projects. I've been focusing on some Hanglar's as of late because I knew I was getting carried away using on Kenny's images but seriously, how can you NOT become obsessed with them. Even my hubby enjoys watching me color them "wink"..............LOL. Anywho, Kenny is releasing a new set on November 28th and he is looking for help naming them so I thought why not, I'd give it a shot - can't post the hubby's suggestions but he did say these girls were pretty hot!!!

Just Some Coloring

Not a lot of card making going on the last two weeks but def a good amount of coloring. I've taken up recliner coloring - I sit in my recliner and watch my hubby play games or we watch movies while I color. This has become my favorite past time! I am stockpiling images so I can whip up my Christmas cards quickly this year so in the next week or so I am sure you will see cards popping up left and right since I will have plenty of images pre-colored!!! I thought I'd share with you some of the images I've completed since I've been kind of quiet lately - I don't want to fall into a slump where I get too comfy in my recliner and I forget to post at all!!!
